eating disorder
there are many destructive conclusions to social pressures of being perfect. many people develop eating disorders to stay thin. the main two are anorexia and bulimia. these eating disorders are classified as mental illnesses. but, there is something most people don't think of as an eating disorder. binge eating and obesity are also considered an eating disorder. however, some do not believe it is a mental illness. i think anything you do uncontollably should be considered a mental illness. these people who have these disorders cannot help themselves. not only are these disorders caused by pressure, they have also been thought to be genetic.

ugly vs. pretty
why is fat ugly? why is it never associated with beautiful. why can't a woman who is not really skinny be pretty? i think people's perspectives are off. i think everyone looks to be perfect...or what the media thinks is perfect.

Judgement
who should be the one to decide who is happy and who is not or who is healthy and who is not. I think people have taken it upon themselves to judge people who are overweight. and these people are usually the kind of people who are skinny and think of themselves as the normal weight. I am so sick and tired of seeing these weight lose commercials that always personify people who are overweight as unhappy. You do not have to be unhappy if you are not perfectly skinny. This is especially hard for women. I mean, don't we have enough stress in our lives such as: periods, child birth, and men? When will the madness stop?
